We are very fortunate that family live in this unspoilt part of the world, on a small farmstead on the northern banks of the Draa River, about 25 mins drive from Tagounite village.
Every time we visit this area, is a treat, and it held an important role in Yahya’s upbringing. Some of our clients have requested to take lunch in a typical home, with a family, and those that have have visited the family here. This is an authentic, yet rustic, experience and it may not be suitable for all. Please ask us for further information.
Amongst the vast palm groves, there are small clusters of farms, single dwellings, villages – everyone here lives off the land and here is a way of life far-removed and simple – and, thankfully, far out of sight, or access, of the main road that runs between Zagora and M’hamid.
The scenery is unparalleled and driving through this area of rural Morocco is a journey of discovery in its own right. The pictures speak for themselves (photos accredited to K Dady and Moroccan Websites).
