We first took the idea from seeing friends’ pictures from the Bolivian salt flat – imaginative use of bottles, books, cartons, toys, even the transport vehicle itself – to create brilliant optical illusions.
Of course it would work here in Morocco in the Sahara desert on Lake Iriqui, albeit the Iriqui salt flats are minuscule in comparison to the Bolivian one, the largest in the world.
Unsurprisingly, the flora and fauna are similar between the two desert regions, and the temporary winter wetlands around Lake Iriqui also attract migratory flamingos to the Sahara. Read more about the desert wetlands and Morocco’s Iriqui National Park here.
These images are a small selection of our own, but we would love to see more of yours! The more creative the better!
